Below are select notes that CharityWatch believes may be of interest to donors.

CharityWatch's rating of the Clinton Foundation includes the accounts consolidated in the Foundation's audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023, "including the accounts of all programs operating offices of the Clinton Foundation," as well as "Acacia Development Co., in which the Clinton Foundation has had an economic interest and financial control. Acacia Development Co. was dissolved in 2023, with no material impact on the consolidated financial statements" according to Note 1 of the Foundation's 2023 consolidated audit. All intercompany balances and transactions have been eliminated upon consolidation in the audit.

According to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation consolidated audit of December 31, 2023 (Note 6, In-kind contributions):

The Foundation received in-kind contributions during fiscal 2023 on which it placed a total value of $2,663,178. Of this amount, $1,422,000 was attributed to "Hosting programmatic events."

According to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation tax filing for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023, the Foundation reports re: Compensation, Officers, Directors, Trustees, Key Employees, and Highest Compensated Employees (IRS Form 990, Schedule J, Part II):

During 2023, the Foundation reports providing "bonus & incentive compensation" to Kevin Thurm, CEO, in the amount of $25,000, who received total reported compensation of $499,406. 



According to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation 2023 tax filing: "William Jefferson Clinton and Chelsea V. Clinton have a family relationship" (IRS Form 990, Schedule O re: Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 2).

William Jefferson Clinton is reported as the Board Chair of the Clinton Foundation; Chelsea V. Clinton is reported as the Vice Chair. Both are reported as a Director and Officer (IRS Form 990, Part VII, Section A). The Foundation reports having nine voting members on its governing body at the end of 2023, with eight members being independent (IRS Form 990, Part VI, Section A, lines 1a & 1b).
